The Project
Initial Systems successfully delivered a full refurbishment of the dining hall at Wallington High School for Girls, transforming a dated and heavily used space into a modern, functional and welcoming environment that supports students every day.
The school required a complete regeneration of their existing dining provision to better support increasing pupil numbers and improve the overall flow, comfort and usability of the space. Our brief centred on creating a brighter, more functional environment while ensuring durability, safety and long‑term performance.
Key objectives included:
Creating a modern dining environment suitable for high‑volume daily use
Improving circulation routes to reduce congestion during peak times
Introducing robust, education‑grade finishes for longevity
Enhancing the overall student experience through better layout, lighting and comfort
Delivering the works safely within a live school environment
