The Project
Initial Systems Limited has completed the R2 Mobile refurbishment project at Sevenoaks Primary School, delivering a full transformation of a previously rundown modular classroom block. The building now provides a bright, modern, and functional learning environment that supports pupils and staff effectively and aligns with Kent County Council’s wider estate improvement objectives.
The project involved a comprehensive regeneration package, addressing both internal and external elements to restore the building’s condition and enhance its usability.
Internal regeneration — removal of outdated finishes, installation of new flooring, wall linings, ceilings, and durable classroom‑appropriate materials.
Building fabric repairs — strengthening and replacement of damaged components to improve structural integrity and extend the building’s lifespan.
Mechanical & Electrical upgrades — improved lighting, heating performance, power distribution, and energy efficiency.
Accessibility and safety enhancements — refreshed circulation routes, safeguarding measures, and compliance with current UK health and safety standards.
External improvements — repairs to cladding, roofing, and external finishes to ensure long‑term durability and weather protection.
The refurbishment has been delivered safely, efficiently, and in full accordance with UK health and safety legislation. Initial Systems maintained clear communication with the school and Kent County Council throughout the programme, ensuring smooth coordination and minimal disruption to daily operations.
